Celebrating one of the two high profile games being released this year with a 7 prominently in it's title, this is an attempt to convert the original Final Fantasy VII battle system into a traditional Roguelike system.
Ultimately it's more of an experiment in how much of the game I could replicate the mathematics of, based on the exceptional work done by T.Fergusson:
For the most part, the to-hit and damage calculations are as accurate as I could make them.
It is also a test run for building a roguelike in a third party Entity-Component System, and using a Command Pattern for complex interactions, as demonstrated with the ability panel.
The intent was to build all of Mako Reactor 1, following the release of the Demo of the FFVII Remake released this week, but ultimately I failed at getting the AI created in a functionable fashion to create anything more than the Shinra MP enemy type, and so I consider this a bit of a failure. Still, it is a functional game (albeit one with no end goal).
Let me know if anyone unlocks Bolt 2.

This was still nice, the shinra mp was too easy to cheese though, never really felt the threat of dying.
